Larry Norman

Larry Norman: probably most of the readers of this blog would not even be familiar with the name. But Larry Norman is one of the grandfathers of Christian rock’n'roll that helped start the “Jesus music movement” in the 70’s. He passed away yesterday, and in several ways has influenced and shaped my life as an artist. Not necessarily through his musical stylings or genre, but because of the strong cultural force that he was. Christian music (even if I don’t necessarily appreciate that label) has always played a big role in my life and I can remember singing Larry’s “Why Should the Devil Have All the Good Music?” at the top of my lungs at a very young age. Here’s a video to remember him today.

Here’s another good post I read about Larry today from my blogger-friend, Brian Eberly.
